MAN Automotive has made available a number of special initiatives to support transport operators during increasingly difficult economic times. Building on the after sales initiatives of a two year parts warranty, the ecotrade parts exchange program, the senior truck card, subsidised maintenance and repair contracts and MAN ServiceCare, the MAN team has, in co-operation with MAN Financial Services, made available an asset procurement avenue which in effect enables a six month payment holiday.
MAN Financial Services MD Dr. Christian Rosswag says, “Our sales colleagues at MAN Automotive have given us feedback where customers who need to do important fleet renewals are preferring to adopt a wait-and-see approach by rather postponing their fleet replacements. Together, we wish to assist those customers to maintain originally planned replacements for this year, and to financially support them with this decision.
“Should a qualifying customers place his order for MAN or VW trucks before the end of August and take delivery before the end of November, MAN Financial Services will structure the funding in such a way that the customer makes his first repayment only in the seventh month after taking delivery. This is a great support to the cash flow of our customers in such a tough economic environment.”
Truck sales head Eren Gunduz says, “This joint initiative between asset supplier and financial services provider enables smoother delivery planning from our side, while ensuring the customers do not need to take unnecessary asset-sweating risks. We have seen that some of our customers embarked on a three year replacement policy in 2014, and did not plan for the repair costs of more expensive components – extending the use of their fleets without the needed maintenance contract fund has caused expensive and unplanned expenses, which an originally planned replacement would have avoided.”
Customers can approach any authorised MAN branch or selling dealer to discuss requirements. The MAN TopUsed organisation is ready to discuss a market related value for the trade-in of used vehicles too, for a convenient one-stop-shop for MAN customers. Terms and conditions apply and will be made transparent on a case by case basis.
